DMV Jazz Series: Alex Hamburger

Fusing Acoustic & Electronic Expression

For the last decade, flutist, vocalist, and composer Alex Hamburger has been creating her own musical direction. Her last album, What If?, delves into perception and the boundaries of human experience, fusing electric and acoustic sounds and creating a stir with her band’s performances around the United States, Europe, and South America.

Alex has been praised by publications around the globe as having the “ability to transform emotions into captivating melodies” that allow the listener “to be immersed within the blurred lines and the harmonious coexistence of light and dark that ultimately remind us all of the interconnectedness of our shared human experience.”
