DMV Jazz Series: Hot Club Jazz

Celebrating Django Reinhardt with Hot Club of Baltimore

The Hot Club of Baltimore brings inspired arrangements of the Django Reinhardt repertoire, French waltzes, and traditional jazz to the stage. Led by acclaimed guitarist and composer Michael Joseph Harris, the ensemble performs vintage swing music with an excitement and authenticity that audiences rarely experience, bringing virtuosity and panache to the timeless songs of the era.

Celebrated as one of Baltimore’s top artists and featured in publications like The Baltimore Sun and Baltimore Style Magazine, Harris founded the Django Jazz Fest in 2015 and continues to serve as its artistic director. The event has connected U.S. audiences with some of the finest musicians in the genre. Harris brings the spirit and artistry of gypsy jazz, sharing its energy, virtuosity, and timeless swing while also educating audiences about the rich history of Django Reinhardt.
